The Autodesk ® Homestyler ® provides an easy to use tool that allows you to virtually recreate your house and then visualize design changes in an instant including:
- Drag and drop rooms, windows, and doors
- Experiment with real world products and brands
- Visualize your design in 3D
- Share your designs with friends and family
As constant advocates of planning and process management for any home improvement project we are always on the lookout for great tools to help homeowners with the process. In testing, the product worked as advertised and was fairly easy to use although some functions weren’t completely intuitive. Overall it’s a great start that will only get better as more and more brands allow access to their product lines.
The news however isn’t that the tool works – that isn’t a surprise coming from software providers who have been providing these tools to professionals. The real news is that these tools are now available to homeowners at no cost and with no training!
